Con motivo de celebración del Año Internacional de los Bosques por Naciones Unidas, la selección de películas del 2011 que estamos preparando en Ruralmedia se centra en la temática forestal. Sin duda se trata de un sector importante en la economía rural de los países europeos y de gran importancia para la configuración y conservación de los paisajes. Desde principios del siglo XX las administraciones públicas generaron diferentes programas de conservación y reforestación tanto para el aprovechamiento de la madera, como en muchos casos como alternativa natural de control de la erosión en zonas de pronunciadas pendientes y de precipitaciones torrenciales.

Ya están disponibles las tres películas que el Ministerio de Medio Ambiente, Medio Rural y Marino de España (MARM) ha seleccionado. Tres documentales de gran valor e interés histórico educativo y pedagógico:  Dos de ellas de los años 40 realizadas por el Marqués de Villa Alcázar, gran protagonista de la producción cinematográfica propia del Ministerio, y otra de 1972 del Servicio de Extensión Agraria del Ministerio de Agricultura.

En breve incorporaremos las aportaciones de Francia y Países Bajos que aportarán una visión europea y complementaria del tratamiento forestal en la Agricultura Europea. Os animamos a comentarlas y abrir debates sobre las mismas, para ello solo es necesario registrarse como usuario.


SELECTION 2011 RURALMEDIA. Forests and forestry work

Within 2011 International Year of Forests by the United Nations, RURALMEDIA have prepared a selection films focuses on the forest theme. Forest activity is an important sector in the rural economy of European countries, and has a decisive rol in the configuration and maintenance of landscapes. Since the early twentieth century, the European governments developed different programs to conservation and reforestation of the forest oriented to the harvest of wood and in many cases as a natural alternative to erosion control in areas of steep slopes and torrential rainfall.

There are three films available selected by the MARM (Spain). The documentaries have a great historical interest and educational and pedagogical. Two of them was filmed around 1940-1945  by the Marques de Villa Alcazar, one of the main protagonist of the film production of the Ministry, and another film from 1972 of the Agricultural Extension Service of the Ministry of Agriculture.

In a few days we’ll add the films of contributions of French and Dutch partners of Ruralmedia, we are convinced that this films would provides a vision and complementary treatment in European  Forestry.
